Opioid Management Clinic

Orticare is proud to announce the establishment of its Opioid Management Clinic (OMC) in Ballarat, serving the Grampians Loddon Mallee region. Our clinic is dedicated to providing expert guidance for patients facing opioid dependence, including those with chronic pain conditions. Our Addiction Medicine Physician, Dr Adam Straub, can assist in cases where pharmacotherapy may be a suitable option, as well as providing support for patients with multiple concerns regarding their alcohol or drug use, and medical withdrawal. We welcome referrals from General Practitioners (GPs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and other medical practitioners (OMPs) for Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) purposes. Our initial consultations can be conducted either in person or through video conferencing, and secondary consultations are available by appointment. For complex cases, we also offer multidisciplinary case conferencing upon request. It is important to note that all consultations require a referral to be sent to: amsclinic@bchc.org.au The OMC is located at 12 Lilburne Street Lucas and operates every Friday from 8:30am – 3:30PM
